About PrimeFish Canada

The goal of PrimeFish Canada was to participate in the development of an innovative market oriented prediction toolbox (PrimeDSS) which would enhance the Canadian seafood industry’s understanding of the competiveness of the European seafood market. Throughout the project, five specific European seafood supply chains (cod, herring, trout, seabass, seabream, salmon and pangasius), and four Canadian seafood supply chains (cod, herring, salmon and mussels), were studied and analyzed.

Outcomes

The PrimeDSS software tool was the main deliverable of the project. However, several deliverables and documents were produced during the development of the PrimeDSS. The deliverables and documents that we consider to be of greatest value to the Canadian seafood industry have been compiled into an on-line resource library for our Canadian participants and stakeholders.
